Outdoor sessions always take place at golden hour, which is 1 hour before sunset. This can vary slightly depending on the weather, but usually only by 30min or so.

What I always suggest is to push nap times a little bit later on session day & bring their favorite snacks with you in case we need a “happy-time distraction.” You can also do a practice run one evening before session day comes to get better prepared!

In my experience however, when they’re outside, exploring a new area in the warm sunshine with their family, the timing does not cause much of an issue. 

This is a part of your session planning that I absolutely LOVE to be involved in! I have a Client Closet full of beautiful options for women & children, plus a virtual styling tool I will use to help coordinate everyone’s outfits. I’ll send you different ideas to consider & you’ll even be able to shop right from the email I send you! Take a deep breath… I’ve got this!

I have several beautiful locations all around the Twin Cities that work well for outdoor sessions so you don’t have to worry about a thing! I will reach out the week of your session to discuss & decide which will work best for you!

I will be watching my weather apps (3 to be exact!) leading up to your session day. If there’s a high chance of rain or bitter cold weather, no worries! Reschedules happen & I always do my best to leave dates open to accommodate them.

Due to an unfortunate & traumatic incident, I do not allow dogs to participate in any sessions – outdoor or in-home. 

Absolutely! Gift certificates can be purchased in any amount desired, just contact me & I’ll get you set up!

It can really be done at any time you’d like, but I typically recommend scheduling it for when you’ll be between 28-35 weeks. The hope is that you’ll be showing well enough for it to be obvious you’re expecting, while also still feeling comfortable & mobile!

You bet! I’ve got all kinds of prompts & poses to share with you, so you can feel confident, relaxed & really enjoy the process!

I always recommend reserving a spot on my calendar in the month that you’re due before baby arrives by contacting me. That way, you can rest assured that I have room for you in my schedule & we’ll have ample time to plan outfits! You’ll then let me know once baby is born & we’ll pick your date, ideally when baby will be between 5-14 days old.

If baby has already arrived we can definitely get your session scheduled pending my current availability! Again, it’s best if baby is between 5-14 days old, but we can usually still achieve a newborn-style session up to 8 weeks.

You better believe I do! Wraps, props, blankets, headbands, hats & outfits… everything we’ll need to create beautiful, unique images of your new little one!

Locations within 50mi of 55379 are included in your booking, with a nominal per-mile fee for locations outside of that radius.

My contracted turnaround time for galleries is 4-6 weeks, and I always strive to deliver your beautiful images as soon as possible!

Gratuities are never expected but I do so appreciate when a client chooses to gift me with one! My online invoicing system does not allow for tips to be added however, so they would need to be given in the form of cash, check, or Venmo.

Yes! I also offer couples, motherhood, milestone, headshot/branding & high school senior sessions, as well as small weddings/elopements when requested & as my availability allows. Please contact me if you’d like to inquire about any of these!
